Formula
Repeated-floor gross area = Σ(length × matching width) × floor count. Mixed-shape gross area = Σ(rectangle length × width × count) + Σ(½ × triangle base × height × count) + Σ(π × (diameter/2)² × circle fraction × count). Net area = gross area − excluded area.
Worked example
A 20 ft × 10 ft rectangle, two 10 ft × 6 ft triangles, and one 8 ft-diameter semicircle total about 285.13 ft² before excluded area is subtracted.
