Salary Increase Calculator
Start with current annual gross salary and enter a percentage change, dollar change, or target annual salary. The tool derives the other change measures and common gross pay-period equivalents.
How to use this calculator
Enter current annual salary, change-input mode and matching value, plus weekly hours for the hourly equivalent.
Review gross versus base compensation, period count, hours, overtime, bonus eligibility, effective date, benefits, taxes, and currency.
Read new annual salary, dollar and percentage change, monthly, semimonthly, biweekly, weekly, and hourly gross equivalents.
Formula
New salary is current salary × (1 + percentage), current salary + dollar change, or the entered target. Period pay divides annual pay by 12, 24, 26, or 52; hourly equivalent divides by 52 × weekly hours.
Worked example
A 6% raise on $70,000 adds $4,200 and produces a new annual salary of $74,200.
Assumptions and limits
- The comparison covers gross entered compensation only and does not predict take-home pay, inflation-adjusted value, overtime, or benefit changes.
- Salary Increase Calculator treats the entered values as estimates and does not infer missing project, account, or personal details.
- Calculations retain working precision except where the cited method requires an intermediate rounding step; displayed values are then formatted separately. Source rules and dated rates must be rechecked when they change.
