Net Promoter Score Calculator
Enter exactly eleven counts for ratings 0 through 10 and let the calculator group them, or enter already aggregated promoter, passive, and detractor totals. The response counts and percentages remain visible alongside the score. This page covers “nps calculator”.
How to use this calculator
Enter response-input mode and either exactly eleven nonnegative whole-number counts in rating order 0 through 10 or aggregate promoter, passive, and detractor counts.
Review question wording, survey population, response period, valid-response count, weighting, sampling bias, and comparison segment.
Read NPS, total response count, promoter, passive, and detractor counts, promoter percentage, and detractor percentage.
Formula
Promoters score 9–10, passives 7–8, and detractors 0–6. NPS = promoter count ÷ valid responses × 100 − detractor count ÷ valid responses × 100, ranging from −100 to +100.
Worked example
With 60 promoters, 25 passives, and 15 detractors among 100 responses, NPS = 60% − 15% = 45.
Assumptions and limits
- Every valid response has equal weight, and the score describes only the entered survey sample rather than proving customer retention or growth.
- Net Promoter Score Calculator treats the entered values as estimates and does not infer missing project, account, or personal details.
- Calculations retain working precision except where the cited method requires an intermediate rounding step; displayed values are then formatted separately. Source rules and dated rates must be rechecked when they change.
