Formula
Convert each price to decimal odds, then raw implied probability qᵢ = 1 ÷ oddsᵢ. Proportional normalization uses pᵢ = qᵢ ÷ Σqᵢ; power normalization solves an exponent so Σ(qᵢ^k) = 1.
Worked example
Two outcomes priced at decimal 1.80 each imply 55.56% + 55.56% = 111.11%; proportional normalization gives 50% each and fair odds 2.00.
